Vladimir Putin's aggressive war against Ukraine and the West has failed. Russia has become weaker, while the West has grown stronger. This was stated by U.S. President Joe Biden during his final press conference.

Biden reminded that when invading Ukraine, Putin hoped to capture Kyiv "in a matter of days."

"The truth is that since the beginning of the war, I have stood in the center of Kyiv, not him. Putin has never been there. Think about that," he said.

Biden also boasted that he was the first American president to visit a combat zone not controlled by the U.S. military.

He credited his administration with forming an international coalition of over 50 countries committed to supporting Ukraine.

"And not only in Europe, but for the first time, countries in Asia have also joined. We provided an extraordinary amount of ammunition and implemented unprecedented sanctions to ensure Ukraine continues to fight," noted the American leader.

The War in Ukraine: Biden's Role

As reported by UNIAN, a British commentator, summarizing Biden's presidency, labeled him a failure who has experienced two geopolitical disasters in four years—first in Afghanistan, and then in Ukraine. Additionally, the columnist criticized Biden's tendency to allocate military assistance to Ukraine in a "drip" fashion.

However, towards the end of his term, Biden significantly ramped up efforts to support Ukraine and contain Russia. Throughout December and January, several major military aid packages were announced, and Russia faced no less than a stunning sanctions package.
