To restore the stable operation of the energy system of Ukraine after the Russian shelling, at least 10-14 days will be required.
This was stated by the director of energy and infrastructure programs at the Razumkov Centre, Volodymyr Omelchenko, during a broadcast on RBK-Ukraine. He refuted the claim made by MP Serhiy Nahorniak, who asserted that it would take only two or three days:
"The damage inflicted today has compounded previous damages. Therefore, I believe it will take much longer. At least 10 days, possibly two weeks. And that's not even factoring in the possibility of new shelling, as Russia's window of opportunity is very limited."
The expert also noted that the Russians will do everything possible to completely destroy the Ukrainian energy system before the New Year.
Condition of the Energy System of Ukraine
As is known, today the Russian occupying army launched a massive attack on Ukraine using drones and various types of missiles. As a result, emergency power outages were implemented throughout the country.
Earlier, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy and Housing and Communal Services, Serhiy Nahorniak, stated that it would take two to three days to restore the stable operation of the energy system, although in some regions this process may take longer.
