On November 28, a successful operation by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine resulted in the destruction of the Russian radar complex "Podlet" in the temporarily occupied Crimea. This information was reported by the press service of GUR.
"The mobile radar system 48Ya6-K1 'Podlet' is used by the enemy to detect aerial targets at low and extremely low altitudes in a challenging electronic warfare environment," the statement reads.
Intelligence officials emphasized that the estimated cost of the destroyed enemy radar complex "Podlet," which is specifically designed to provide target indications for the S-300 and S-400 air defense systems, is approximately 5 million dollars.
Strikes on Russian Equipment
As reported by UNIAN, on the night of November 24, Ukrainian forces struck the positions of the anti-aircraft missile division of the 1490th anti-aircraft missile regiment of the 6th army of the Russian Federation located in the Kursk region. This resulted in the successful destruction of the radar station of the S-400 air defense system.
The head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation (CPD) under the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), Andrey Kovalenko, commented on this strike in the Kursk direction:
"Without it, it is blind. This will simplify the work of other means over Kursk to hit military targets on enemy territory."
The General Staff added that this Russian unit was conducting combat operations in a "ground-to-ground" mode, specifically targeting stationary ground objects.
"Such attacks by Russian invaders primarily hit civilian infrastructure and peaceful residents of settlements in frontline regions of Ukraine," the department noted.
