The regional governor, Alexander Bogomaz, stated on his Telegram channel that the Russian air defense shot down a drone of aircraft type over the region, with no casualties or damage reported. At the same time, numerous videos of loud explosions have been circulating online.
Russian Telegram channels report that the Bryansk Chemical Plant named after the 50th Anniversary of the USSR, located in the settlement of Seltso, may have been targeted by an ATACMS missile attack. This facility produces explosives.
Attacks on the Chemical Plant in Bryansk Region
As reported by UNIAN, there were previous reports in April of last year about a drone strike on the chemical plant named after the 50th Anniversary of the USSR. It is known that this plant is part of the "Techmash" concern of the Russian state corporation "Rostec."
Additionally, reports of a drone attack on this plant surfaced in the fall of 2023. At that time, Russian Telegram channels mentioned that electronic warfare systems had landed it on the roof of one of the workshops.
