In Ukraine, a heightened danger level has been declared for February 14 due to icy conditions on the roads. Warning about hazardous meteorological phenomena has been published by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
"On February 14, there will be ice on the roads in the western regions," forecasters predict.
The first level of danger has been declared in the following areas:
- Volyn;
- Rivne;
- Lviv;
- Ternopil;
- Khmelnytskyi;
- Zakarpattia;
- Ivano-Frankivsk;
- Chernivtsi.

Weather on February 14
On this day, the synoptic situation will change: cold air will begin to recede to the east, while a warmer air mass from Western Europe will move into Ukraine. As a result, temperatures will rise in most regions. Additionally, an atmospheric front will bring light snow to the western, northern, Vinnytsia, and Cherkasy regions, with rain in the west.
The day will be cloudy. In the western regions, there will be light snow mixed with rain, and thermometers will show temperatures from 0° to +5°.
In the rest of the territory, there will be no precipitation, except for light snow and wet snow during the day in the northern, Vinnytsia, and Cherkasy regions. Daytime temperatures are expected to range from -2° to +3°, while in the south, they may rise to +4° to +9°.
There will be icy conditions on the roads in the western regions and in some areas of the northern, Vinnytsia, and Cherkasy regions. Wind speeds will be 7-12 m/s.
