The situation in Toretsk is extremely challenging, with battles against Russian invading forces taking place for every house.
This was reported by Anastasia Bobovnikova, spokesperson for the Operational Tactical Group "Luhansk," during a telethon. According to her, since the beginning of the day, Russian occupiers have launched 11 assaults, some of which are still ongoing:
"In fact, the situation here is very tense. Fighting is occurring for every house. It should be understood that they may advance to one house - and literally the next day, we are already reclaiming that house."
The spokesperson noted that earlier, Russian troops did not use equipment in this area, but it is now being observed on the northern outskirts of Toretsk, in Nelipovka. "In the past 24 hours, there have been battles involving armored fighting vehicles, buggies, and motorcycles. We did not see this before, but now the enemy has become more active," Bobovnikova added.
A similar situation has developed near the city of Chasiv Yar, where the occupiers also typically do not deploy armored vehicles and tanks, as they are not very effective in urban areas.
"For several days now, we have observed a situation where a tank emerges opposite Chasiv Yar, fires from concealed positions, and then retreats. Not always. Every day we have a good 'catch.' Recently, the newest tank of the Russian forces, the T-90M 'Breakthrough,' was destroyed in this area," the spokesperson reported.
Situation on the Front
Today, the operational-strategic group of troops "Khortytsia" reported that Ukrainian fighters prevented Russian forces from expanding their bridgehead on the left bank of the Oskol River.
In the Defense Forces of the South, it is said that the invaders aim to capture a bridgehead on one of the islands or on the right bank of the Dnipro River. Earlier, partisans reported catastrophic losses of Russian forces in this direction.
