Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky responded to the scandal regarding the transfer of specialists from various military specialties to the infantry.

In an evening video address, the head of state announced that he had a separate conversation today with the acting commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Anatoliy Kryvonozhko. He assigned him an important task:

"Today there was a lot of different information, outrage, and discussions regarding the transfers. I instructed to clarify everything to the public and not to reduce the number of specialists needed by the Air Force to carry out combat tasks - our aviation, air defense, and mobile fire groups."

Specialists are being transferred to the infantry

Today, reports surfaced online indicating that military leadership ordered the reassignment of Air Force personnel to the infantry.

The General Staff stated that they are reinforcing the Ground and Air Assault Forces with "specific categories" of personnel from the Air Force and other branches of the military; however, this does not apply to the critically deficient specialists in the engineering and aviation service who maintain the aircraft.
