Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has just met with King Charles III of the United Kingdom. According to Sky News, the meeting took place at Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
"About an hour ago, Zelensky arrived by helicopter from Lancaster House in London to the expansive estate where the King and Queen spend a lot of time. Upon his arrival, he was greeted by the King," the report states.
The two men had a brief conversation and allowed photographers to take a few pictures before heading inside.
Zelensky's Visit to Britain
As reported by UNIAN, on Friday, Volodymyr Zelensky was scheduled to hold talks with U.S. President Donald Trump, but everything fell apart at the last moment when the two presidents engaged in an unprecedented dispute live on air. According to media reports, the American leader was allegedly angered that the Ukrainian president arrived at the meeting not in formal attire. Since the onset of the full-scale invasion, Zelensky has refrained from wearing such suits to emphasize that the country is at war.
Following the scandal, Zelensky left the U.S. and arrived in the UK, where Prime Minister Keir Starmer convened an urgent summit of European nations to coordinate increased assistance to Ukraine. Initial statements suggest that the talks in London were much more successful than those in Washington.
