20-градусного мороза в Украине не будет, но температура все же упадет / коллаж УНИАН

Temperatures of 20 degrees Frost in Ukraine are not expected just yet, although some areas may experience very cold nights. This was stated by Natalia Ptukha, a meteorologist from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, in a comment to Weather UNIAN.

In response to a question regarding the supposed forecast of up to 20 degrees of frost in Prykarpattia and the Carpathians, she noted that such low temperatures are not anticipated.

"However, temperatures may drop to around -14, possibly -15 degrees. But this will only occur over two nights - the night of the 14th, which is tomorrow, and the night of the 15th of January. This applies to Zakarpattia and Prykarpattia. We expect -8 to -14 degrees of frost during the night hours," the meteorologist explained.

When asked if this refers to temperatures high in the mountains, Ptukha clarified: "Zakarpattia, Prykarpattia. This includes both mountainous regions and Prykarpattia. Specifically, areas before the Carpathians from the side of Khmelnytskyi region, Chernivtsi region, and Zakarpattia region may also experience such temperatures. But, of course, in the mountains, such frost will naturally occur."
