The relevant decision was not included in the agenda

The deputies of the Kyiv City Council decided not to consider the draft resolution "On certain measures for the preservation of buildings and structures constructed over 100 years ago" at the today's plenary session.

Sixty-eight deputies voted in favor of postponing the discussion to the next session. According to Kyiv City Council Secretary Volodymyr Bondarenko, the removal of the issue from the agenda was insisted upon by Vahan Tovmasyan.

It is worth noting that at the last plenary session, which took place on December 12, the draft was put to a vote three times, but it failed to gain the necessary number of votes.

The draft resolution aims to create a legal framework for monitoring work carried out in buildings and structures that were constructed over 100 years ago and have not acquired protective status under the Ukrainian Law "On the Protection of Cultural Heritage." Its active discussion began in July 2024 following the controversial demolition of the Zelensky estate.
