The area is in a state of neglect
Residents of the capital are urging the city authorities to take urgent measures to improve the Bortnychi neighborhood, which is in an extremely neglected condition.
A corresponding petition on this matter has been posted on the Kyiv City Council's website.
The authors of the initiative explain that the Bortnychi neighborhood lacks parks, recreational areas, bike paths, safe pedestrian zones, dog walking spaces, and more. Additionally, the shortage of trash bins creates dirt around, which local municipal services do not clean up.
“Due to the lack of recreational areas, there is nowhere to walk with dogs or children. With heavy traffic, it is dangerous to walk along the road, as there are almost no sidewalks on either side,” local residents complain.
It is worth noting that last autumn, residents of Southern Borshchahivka called on the city authorities to close the asphalt concrete plant "ABZ-1", which emits a foul odor.
