Identified sectors that will attract the most attention from auditors
Throughout 2025, companies in Kyiv will face the highest number of inspections from tax authorities compared to other Ukrainian cities.

“The State Tax Service will focus primarily on companies in Kyiv — 18% of the total inspections. The Odesa region will come in second for inspections, followed by Dnipropetrovsk with 12% and 10% respectively,” the report states.
As noted, this year tax authorities have planned a total of 4,700 inspections. Of these, nearly 3,700 will target companies, while the remainder will focus on individual entrepreneurs.
Interestingly, the highest number of planned inspections will be in the wholesale trade sector — 20.7 percent. Additionally, 15.1 percent of inspections will be in agriculture and hunting. Rounding out the top three is food production with 6.2 percent.
It is worth noting, on October 10 of last year, the parliament approved a draft law in its second reading regarding increased taxation.
