Public transportation must come to a halt during the nationwide moment of silence.
This is stated in the order from the acting general director of KP "Kyivpastrans," Tetyana Tarasko.
Directors of the city's bus parks, as well as trolleybus and tram depots, are required to instruct drivers to activate the announcement about the moment of silence on electronic voice informers daily between 8:50 and 9:00 AM after arriving at the stop and announcing the stop.
“During the announcement, the passenger transport vehicle must remain at the stop, and movement from the stop should only begin after the announcement of the nationwide moment of silence has concluded,” the order states.
If an air raid alert is announced at that moment, priority will be given to informing about the air raid alert.
It is worth noting that on January 30, the Kyiv City Council adopted a decision to implement a nationwide moment of silence in Kyiv. According to the decision, all public transport in Kyiv, except for the metro and city commuter trains, must stop during the moment of silence.
