The building was sold at auction last month
The buyer transferred over 3 billion UAH for the capital hotel "Ukraine".
This was reported by the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
“The funds from the sale of the hotel 'Ukraine' were fully received into the state budget... The auction winner paid the value of the asset and VAT totaling over 3 billion UAH,” the SPFU stated.
At the same time, the State Property Fund expressed hope that the hotel, which consists of 365 rooms and occupies nearly 22,500 square meters, will receive new life under the management of a private investor. According to the sale conditions, the new owner is obliged to maintain the hotel's operational profile and ensure social guarantees for all its employees.
The open auction for the sale of the hotel "Ukraine" took place on September 18 in the Prozorro.Sales system. The buyer offered 2.51 billion UAH for it, which is 2.4 times higher than the initial price of 1.05 billion UAH.
Recall that the Kyiv regional branch of the State Property Fund of Ukraine sold the hotel "Kolos" for nearly 43 million UAH, located in the Obolon district of the capital.
