Some of these parking lots are even being sold through Prozorro
In the capital, there are 700 illegal night parking lots, yet Kyiv city deputies refuse to eliminate them.
This was stated on the air of "Kyiv Time" by Andriy Vitrenko, head of the budget commission of the Kyiv City Council.
“Pro-government deputies do not vote for the annulment of Appendix No. 5, which marks these addresses. You arrive at an address with 30 cars listed, but there are actually 130,” he said.
Vitrenko also pointed out that illegal lots can even be registered through the Prozorro system.
“There are numerous cases of registration and sale of night parking lots even through the Prozorro system, where in reality the cooperative has been operating for 40 years. Guys come, set up a barrier, and say: ‘You owe us 40 UAH now for the night.’ Personally, I have an example: in Osokorky, at Akhmatova 50, the yard belongs to an HOA. Guys come, set up a lot, and say: ‘There will be parking here now, I won,’” the deputy recounted.
