272 units of special equipment are engaged
In the capital, the clearing and anti-icing treatment of roads and sidewalks continues following the snowfall that began on the evening of February 14.
Since the night, 272 units of special equipment from "Kyivavtodor" have been deployed, reported the Kyiv City State Administration.
“145 road workers in 24 teams are clearing snow from public transport stops, stairs, narrow sidewalks, and pedestrian crossings. They are also applying anti-icing agents to city roads, bridges, slopes, and inclines,” the statement reads.
For snow removal and anti-icing treatment in parks and squares, 399 workers from "Kyivzelenbud" and 61 units of equipment are involved. More than 3,000 workers and 110 units of equipment from managing companies are clearing yards and adjacent territories.
As a reminder, today, February 15, meteorologists have declared a first (yellow) level of danger in Kyiv and the Kyiv region due to icy conditions. Drivers and pedestrians are urged to exercise maximum caution on the roads.
