The utility workers have received appropriate instructions
In Kyiv, it has been decided to remove vehicles damaged by Russian airstrikes from the streets, including cars that have been "abandoned" by their owners.
The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachенко, reported this on his social media page.
“The city is currently clearing the streets of cars that caught fire due to enemy drone and missile strikes. A significant number of such vehicles have already been removed. Another issue is the abandoned cars that have been left on the streets for years in certain areas, creating obstacles and dangers for the urban environment… I have instructed the development of algorithms for relocating these vehicles to specialized sites of 'Kyivtransparkservice' for their subsequent storage,” wrote Timur Tkachенко.
Unfortunately, he explained, a clearly defined mechanism to address this problem has not been established in the capital during nearly three years of full-scale war.
Considering this, the head of the KMVA noted that, together with representatives from relevant departments and law enforcement agencies, options for creating an effective and transparent system for implementing these measures have already been developed.
“I expect ready solutions to be presented at the next meeting of the Kyiv Defense Council. It is important that the mechanism operates smoothly, within the law, and that the process does not drag on for many years,” emphasized Timur Tkachенко.
Recall that since mid-January, cars damaged by Russian airstrikes have begun to be removed from the streets of the capital.
