Not everyone can afford to regularly spend on minibuses
Residents of Kyiv and its suburbs are urging the city authorities to introduce municipal transport routes to certain satellite towns around Kyiv.

A corresponding petition on this matter has been posted on the Kyiv City Council's website.
The authors of the initiative explain, using the example of the village of Sofiivska Borshchahivka, that students cannot benefit from discounted fares in public transport, as there are only private carriers charging 65 hryvnias for a ride.
Considering that there is only one state school in Sofiivska Borshchahivka, many children travel to schools in Kyiv and Vyshneve, thus being deprived of the right to free travel with a student ticket.
“This also applies to other categories of beneficiaries,” the petition signatories noted.
We remind you that Kyiv residents are calling on the city authorities to consider the proposal and make a decision regarding the creation of a rapid bus route on the left bank, which would pass through all districts on that side and connect their remote parts.
