It is interesting to note that Lenzerheide will host the World Championship for the first time. This marks the 51st edition of the biathlon World Championship. The tournament has been held annually since 1958, except in years when the Olympic Games take place.
In the men's competitions, our country will be represented by Dmytro Pidruchnyi, Anton Dudchenko, Vitalii Mandzyn, and Taras Lesiuk. Two more participants from Ukraine will be determined based on the results of the 2025 European Championship.
In the women's events, participation is expected from the main team biathletes – Yuliia Dzhyma, Khrystyna Dmytrenko, Iryna Petrenko, and Olena Horodna. Additionally, two more athletes will join them.
Biathletes will compete for medals in mixed relays, sprints, pursuits, individual races, classic relays, and mass starts. A total of 12 sets of medals will be awarded.
In Ukraine, the official broadcaster of biathlon is Public Broadcasting. All races will be aired live on the "Suspilne Sport" channel and regional Public channels.
"Champion" will provide text-based online broadcasts of all races of the 2025 World Championship.
