Ukraine ranks 9th with a total of 3057 points, which is 80 points more than the Czech Republic in 10th place. The Czech team’s poorer performance (17th place) helped Ukraine stay in the top ten, as they earned 220 points.
France leads the women's standings. Germany has climbed to second place after winning the relay, while Sweden rounds out the top three.
The next scoring race, a sprint, will take place at the sixth stage of the World Cup in Antholz-Anterselva, Italy.
It is important to note that not all races of the season are counted in the standings; only relays (classic and mixed), sprints, and individual races are included. In mixed relays, points are split evenly between the men's and women's teams.
The women's team of Ukraine earned the most points this season (356) during the sprint at the third stage of the World Cup in Annecy Le Grand Bornand, France.
It should be noted that the final placement in the Nations Cup determines the number of starting spots in individual races for the following season. Currently, Ukraine can enter 5 athletes in one individual race since they finished within the top ten in the last Nations Cup, placing ninth.
Reminder: The men's biathlon team of Ukraine is in 7th place in the rankings and is competing for a top-5 position.
