During a training session on the shores of San Luis in northern Brazil, an athlete spotted a woman struggling for her life in the waves.
31-year-old Lobo was about to finish his training and head back to the shore when he noticed a woman desperately trying to stay afloat.
The Olympian quickly reacted, swam over to the victim, and she clung to his back. Together, they made it to his kiteboard and headed to the shore, where the woman was handed over to rescuers.
After the incident, Bruno shared his story on social media, noting that this day became special for him.
Interestingly, Bruno Lobo is not only a professional kitesurfer but also an orthopedic doctor. His sports career is impressive: he is a two-time Pan American Games champion and a participant in the Olympic Games in Paris, where he finished seventh in the kitesurfing competition last year.
