Oberhof. Women's sprint. Here’s how it went down.

On Thursday, January 9, the fourth stage of the Biathlon World Cup will kick off in Oberhof, Germany, with the women's sprint race.

Five female biathletes will represent Ukraine in the race. A total of 98 athletes are registered on the starting list.

15:59. Ukrainian Daryna Chalyk has started, marking her debut at the World Cup.
15:55. Frenchwoman Paola Bote hits 10 out of 10 and claims her first career victory! She leads after the second shooting, with a 36-second advantage over Bulgarian Milena Todorova!
15:54. Both Dmytrenko and Kryvonos earn a penalty lap with 1+1 in shooting today.
15:50. Almost all biathletes are struggling with shooting due to unfavorable weather conditions in Oberhof.
15:47. Dzhima hits 10 out of 10 in this race!!! The most experienced Ukrainian finishes the second shooting with a +27.5 behind Bulgarian Milena Todorova!
15:45. Anna Kryvonos also earns a penalty lap with her last shot.
15:44. Khrystyna Dmytrenko misses her last shot in the prone position.
15:43. Horodna has not hit two targets. It seems she will not qualify for the pursuit.
15:39. Dzhima hits all targets in the prone position! However, she was slow on the first lap.
15:33. Horodna is going for two penalty laps after prone shooting.
15:31. The race has started for another Ukrainian, Yuliya Dzhima.
15:25. Olena Horodna is the first Ukrainian to start.
