Zabarnyi dominates the wealthiest club in the world, while Dovbyk keeps his scoring streak alive. How did our players perform?

Ukrainian footballers continue to pave their way to success in foreign leagues. In this article, we have compiled the most significant highlights from the past week regarding Ukrainian passport holders competing in the championships of Portugal, England, Spain, and Italy.
Забарний уничтожает самый богатый клуб мира, а Довбик продолжает свою голевую серию. Как сыграли наши?

The champion continues to monitor the performances of Ukrainian players who have chosen to further their careers in championships outside their homeland. He shares the key highlights of the week with readers.

Anatoliy Trubin

In the 18th round of the Portuguese Primeira, Benfica faced Famalicão. The Ukrainian goalkeeper started for the home team from the first minutes. The former Shakhtar player played the entire match.

The game went smoothly for both the hosts and Trubin. Since Benfica spent most of the match in attack, we hardly saw any threats to Anatoliy's goal. The Lisbon team scored 4 goals against their opponents, who failed to respond with even a single shot on target. A telling fact – Famalicão did not manage to take a shot on goal against the Ukrainian at all. However, for his performance, Anatoliy received the lowest rating among the winners from an authoritative statistical portal.

The leading Portuguese publication A Bola also reacted to Trubin's performance. Local journalists rated the goalkeeper at 6 points and wrote the following.

Nevertheless, for Trubin, this game was special in its own way. The Ukrainian recorded his 30th "clean sheet" for the "eagles." The former Shakhtar player traditionally shared photos from the match on social media.

Since the start of the season, Trubin has played 27 matches across all competitions. In 13 of these encounters, he did not concede any goals. Benfica sits in 2nd place, trailing leaders Sporting by 3 points.

Illia Zabarnyi

In the 22nd round of the English Premier League (EPL), there were several matches, including Newcastle hosting Bournemouth, where the guests surprisingly lost. Moreover, the "Cherries" were crushed, conceding 4 goals. The "Magpies," who are considered the richest club in the world since the arrival of new owners, managed only 1 goal in response. Thus, Bournemouth has now gone 10 matches unbeaten in the strongest league in the world, setting a club record.

Among the winners, the indispensable player of the Ukrainian national team, Illia Zabarnyi, remains. The former Dynamo player played another 90-plus minutes for his team. Additionally, the center-back cleared the ball 9 times, made 1 tackle, and managed to deliver 69% accurate passes. For his performance, Zabarnyi received a rating from the statistical portal SofaScore – 7.1. After the match, he shared his impressions of the game on his social media page.

This time, there are questions about the Ukrainian’s performance. He lost track of the scorer of the only goal for the opponent (on the screen – №39) Bruno Guimarães, when he "peeled off" from his opponent to another player and failed to "hand him over" to his teammate.

However, despite this significant mistake in his performance, Zabarnyi's play in England is still met with satisfaction. Notably, the former Real Madrid and Liverpool player Steve McManaman provided pleasant comments about the Ukrainian.

Since the beginning of the season, Zabarnyi has played 23 matches for Bournemouth across all competitions. His team is in 7th place in the standings.

Yegor Yarmolyuk

A challenging test awaited the younger compatriot of Zabarnyi at another EPL club. Brentford hosted league leaders Liverpool and lost, failing to respond to the 2 goals from the opponent.

The former Dnipro-1 player started for the home team from the first whistle. It's worth noting that Yarmolyuk played in a midfield position left of center, sometimes drifting closer to the sideline. The Ukrainian played the entire match. Whether "the Bees" coach Thomas Frank plans to use Yarmolyuk in this role going forward is unknown. For his performance, Yarmolyuk received an individual rating from an authoritative statistical portal.

The Ukrainian national team player was involved in his team's first goal, as he did not prevent a successful pass to an opponent while facing Trent Alexander-Arnold in his own penalty area.

However, despite this fact in Yarmolyuk's game, Brentford is quite satisfied with him. This is indicated by a publication on the club's social media page, where key statistical indicators of the Ukrainian in the match can also be seen.

Furthermore, after the match, Frank commented specifically on Yarmolyuk's performance.

In the 2024/25 season, Yarmolyuk has played 21 matches across all competitions. Brentford occupies 11th place in the standings.

Vitaliy Mykolenko

Everton from Liverpool played their match against Tottenham. They overcame their opponent at home (3:2). In the "Toffees" lineup, the Ukrainian national team defender Vitaliy Mykolenko played the entire match. For his actions on the field, the former Dynamo player received an appropriate rating from a statistical portal.

Mykolenko's pass accuracy was 85%, and he managed to clear the ball 5 times and made 2 tackles.

The publication Liverpool Echo rated Mykolenko's performance at 7. According to the journalists of this site, it is clear what the Ukrainian was doing and how he made an impression on the field.

Even before the game, in a comment for Sky Sports, Everton coach David Moyes hinted that Mykolenko would play differently with him on the bench.

Since the start of the season, Mykolenko has played 21 matches and provided 1 assist. Everton sits in 16th place in the standings.

Viktor Tsygankov

In the 20th round of La Liga, Girona played at home against Sevilla. The Ukrainian midfielder's team lost 1:2. Tsygankov played the entire match and received the third highest rating in the Catalan club's lineup.

This high recognition of the Ukrainian's contributions was made possible by his assist in the 36th minute. Additionally, his accuracy rate stands at 79% for passes. This is Tsygankov's first assist since August 29 and only his second of the season overall. He also has 1 goal to his name. It is worth noting that ten minutes earlier, a teammate set Tsygankov up for a shot in the Sevilla penalty area, but the defender proved to be quicker than the Ukrainian.

However, it seems that all of Girona's thoughts are already on the next match. On Wednesday, the Catalans will face Milan in the Champions League. This was emphasized on the club's social media page, particularly through Tsygankov.

Since the start of the season, Tsygankov has played 12 matches across all competitions. Girona occupies 8th place in the standings.

Artem Dovbik

In the 21st round of Serie A, Roma hosted Genoa at home. They emerged victorious with a score of (3:1). The Ukrainian national team forward was present on the pitch from the first whistle for the hosts.

The Ukrainian played for 85 minutes, during which he managed quite a lot. The main event occurred in the 25th minute when Dovbik was the quickest to react to a rebound, being in close proximity to the
