Too soon to celebrate: Khabib embarrassed himself during the announcement of his brother's fight results.

The Russian fighter served as an assistant in the corner of his cousin Umar during the bout against Merab Dvalishvili for the flyweight title.

After the fight concluded, the fighters stood in the center of the octagon while ring announcer Bruce Buffer announced the judges' scores. Confident in his brother's victory, Khabib approached UFC president Dana White to personally hand the title to his relative.

Buffer declared Dvalishvili the winner of the fight, while Nurmagomedov simply lowered his eyes and pretended as though nothing happened. Moreover, Umar himself believed in his triumph, raising his hand as if he were the victor.

Let us remind you that the Georgian champion confidently defended his title against Khabib's brother. The judges unanimously scored Merab Dvalishvili the winner of the bout (48-47, 48-47, 49-46).
