The 46-year-old Irishman participated in the show "The Overlap," where he met Neville and host Rebecca Lowe. In the midst of the conversation, the former United defender wanted to find out what it’s like to be a wrestling star and experience a real submission hold.
Sheamus didn't hesitate and showcased his signature move – the "Cloverleaf" hold. Initially, it was challenging for Sheamus to apply the hold, as Neville turned out to be a bit heavier than he expected. However, the former WWE champion eventually managed to complete the maneuver, leaving Neville writhing in pain.
To add even more irony to the situation, Sheamus made the former United defender exclaim, "Liverpool will win the league, and Arne Slot's team – is number one!"
However, Neville didn't back down and refused to acknowledge the superiority of his club's main rival. Instead, he jokingly taunted Sheamus, sending Liverpool off twice.
The show host couldn't contain her laughter while watching this scene. Sheamus, having released Neville, simply smiled and remarked that it was just a "light workout."
