A Volkswagen crashed into a guardrail in Mykolaiv due to icy asphalt, causing a massive traffic jam.

On the morning of Friday, February 28, on Troitskaya Street in Mykolaiv, a Volkswagen Passat crashed into a guardrail.

This was reported by a correspondent from "Novosti-N" from the scene.

The "Volkswagen" was traveling on Troitskaya Street, coming from Kruhova Street, heading towards the 2nd Embankment. On a curved section of the road near 5th Line Street, the vehicle hit ice chunks and slippery patches that had formed due to a water leak. The driver lost control, the car skidded, and it crashed into the guardrail, coming to a stop across the road.

As a result of the accident, no one was injured, but the car sustained mechanical damage.

Due to the vehicle stopping in the middle of the road, traffic has been disrupted, causing massive traffic jams in both directions on Troitskaya Street.

According to witnesses, the slippery road has not been treated yet, which poses a risk of further accidents.
