The husband of Ukrainian blogger Anna Zhuk, who recently died in a car accident, may face imprisonment.

According to police representative Yuriy Sulaev from Poltava, Vladimir Bilevtsev, who was driving at the time of the tragedy, has been notified of suspicion. He could face up to eight years in prison.

"The man who was behind the wheel of the passenger car has been informed of suspicion under part 2 of article 286 'Violation of traffic safety rules.' The penalty is imprisonment for a term of three to eight years, along with a driving ban for up to three years. Investigative actions are currently ongoing," the statement for "Suspilne" mentioned.

Vladimir has not yet commented on these statements. Recently, he reached out to his followers for the first time since the tragedy and expressed that he still cannot believe in the death of his beloved.

On January 24, 2025, the life of blogger Anna Zhuk, known online as Annet, was cut short. Her husband was driving the vehicle, attempting to overtake another car when he collided with a truck at high speed. Following the crash, Anna died at the scene as her injuries were not compatible with life. The police are currently investigating all circumstances surrounding the tragedy on the Kharkiv-Kyiv road.
