In Germany, a bus overturned due to a snowstorm, resulting in casualties, including a Ukrainian national.

A Flixbus overturned on the A11 highway near the German-Polish border, resulting in the deaths of two individuals - a citizen of Ukraine and a citizen of Germany.

It was noted that the accident occurred over the weekend. There were 12 passengers and a driver, a 36-year-old Polish woman, on the bus.

According to the police, the woman at the wheel was supposed to exit the A11 highway to wait out a snowstorm. However, the bus veered off the road and collided with the barrier separating the parking lot from the highway. The bus then tipped over onto its right side.

“The vehicle has been secured, and investigators are trying to determine the speed at which the bus entered the parking area.

The police are examining whether the slippery winter road surface, the speed of the vehicle, or gusts of wind contributed to the incident.

As a result of the accident, four people were seriously injured, including a woman from Poland. The injured were taken to the hospital. Additionally, two individuals - a Ukrainian and a German - lost their lives.
The bus driver sustained minor injuries but did not require hospitalization. She was detained by the police.

According to the police, emergency services had to free passengers from the bus through the shattered windshield.
