On the evening of January 8, a report was received on the special line 101 about a traffic accident involving a Mercedes truck and a BMW passenger car in the city of Novaya Odessa.

According to the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in the Mykolaiv region, rescuers who arrived at the scene found that the driver of the passenger vehicle was trapped inside the cabin due to the mangled structural elements of the car after the collision.

Emergency Service personnel used special equipment to extricate the man and handed him over to an ambulance crew. Both him and the passenger, who also sustained injuries in the accident, were hospitalized in a medical facility.

The circumstances of the incident are being investigated by law enforcement officials.
