A double accident in the center of Mykolaiv has resulted in injuries and caused massive traffic jams (photos available).

On the morning of Monday, January 27, two traffic accidents occurred at the intersection of Central Avenue and 9th Slobodskaya Street in Mykolaiv.

Initially, a taxi vehicle, a Kia Rio, collided with a Toyota Land Cruiser. The taxi was traveling along 9-1 Slobodskaya Street from the direction of Igor Bedzai Street (Chkalova) and began to turn left onto Central Avenue at the intersection, failing to yield to the oncoming Toyota, which was proceeding straight. The impact caused both vehicles to be pushed off the roadway.

Immediately following this accident, another incident occurred. A DAF truck with a tanker trailer and a Toyota Camry, which were traveling on 9th Slobodskaya Street, attempted to maneuver around the recently occurred accident and ended up making side contact.

As a result of the collisions, the taxi driver sustained injuries, and an ambulance arrived at the scene to assess the situation; the possibility of hospitalization for the injured party is being considered. All vehicles involved sustained mechanical damage.

The accidents led to significant traffic jams on Central Avenue and 9th Slobodskaya Street.
